Child Pornography, Sexual Abuses And Grooming: This New Documentary Unravels Horrific Secrets On Set Of Nickelodeon

Former cast and crew members of Teen Nick shows are telling their stories of the ‘abusive’ and ‘toxic environment’ they had under Schneider’s leadership.

Since the 1990s, Nickelodeon has been the best entertainment outlet for children. The studio gained the most notoriety among teenagers for its Teen Nick series. It aired very well-liked shows, from cartoon shows, sometimes known as “Nicktoons,” to its adult-oriented programming on Nick At Nite.

Dan Schneider was the creator of Zoey 101, Drake & Josh, iCarly, Victorious, The Amanda Bynes Show, and many more shows. However, he will be the focus of the new Investigation Discovery documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

The documentary features several former Nickelodeon writers, actors, and other crew members. They have come forward with accusations against Schneider.

Schneider is a previous producer and the creator of Nickelodeon’s hit teen-oriented sitcoms and their spinoffs, such as Sam & Cat, and classic films including Big Fat Liar and Good Burger. Schneider’s Bakery’s founder is also an actor and a screenwriter.

What is this documentary about?

The four-part series will share the experiences of former employees working with Schneider. Among the most recognizable faces in the Quiet on Set trailer was Zoey 101 alum Alexa Nikolas. She has opened up about Schneider’s alleged misbehavior in recent years. At one point in the ID teaser, the actress claimed, “I’ve been waiting 17 years for today.” 

Another former employee, who was not named, added in the trailer, “Working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship. Dan’s treatment of people on his shows was an open secret.” 

“There was a toxic environment. It made me trust people less,” another continued.

Additionally, the teaser revealed the predator’s purported collection of child pornography; however, it was not clear if this was Schneider or another former Nickelodeon employee.

“They uncovered this tremendous trove of child pornography,” one former Nickelodeon contributor stated to the cameras in the trailer. “We found Ziploc bags, each one with girl’s name on it,” another lady added.

In the teaser, woman stated, “Eleven charges relating to child actor.” There was also an alleged police report that said, “Peck was choking the victim,” displayed on the screen.

It is revealed that Drake Bell is the former child star who made the claim of having been sexually molested at the end of the documentary’s second trailer.

According to Variety, Brian Peck is the person mentioned in the court documents. Peck guest-starred in two episodes of Boy Meets World. Its stars, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong, opened up about Peck’s “manipulation” and “grooming.”

It happened during a February 2024 episode of their “Boy Meets Pod” podcast. Peck also served as a dialogue coach on multiple Nickelodeon shows.
