Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv, Kollywood’s famed father and son, will collaborate on an untitled Tamil film. Mahaan is the title of the #Chiyaan60 film. The film was planned for release in 2020, and the first poster has sparked excitement among moviegoers. The father-son team finished dubbing and announced it with an awesome photo.
As they announced the completion of dubbing, the director moved to Twitter and published a photo of Vikram and Dhruv recreating the classic face-off sequence from the film. In the projector’s background, the father and son posed for a face-off photo. Lalit Kumar will be the financier for this massive production, which will be produced by Seven Screen Studios. Music Director Anirudh Ravichander was first hired, however he has since been replaced by Santhosh Narayanan.

Mahaan, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, began filming in early 2021. Vikram will play the lead in the film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 60. The actors and crew finished filming on August 14th. This is the first film in which Vikram appears alongside his son Dhruv Vikram. Mahaan is described as a thriller set in North Madras. The film will be produced by Seven Screen Studios. Mahaan’s music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Adithya Varma, a remake of Tollywood’s blockbuster film Arjun Reddy, directed by Gireesaaya, was Dhruv’s acting debut in 2019. At the box office, the remake didn’t fare as well as the Telugu and Hindi versions. Mahaan is Dhruv’s second film and Vikram’s 60th feature.
There have been rumours circulating for the past few weeks about Mahaan’s OTT release. Mahaan’s streaming rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video, according to sources close to the team. Recently, Vikram joins hands with Sarpatta Parambarai director PA Ranjith for next project. The untitled film is tentatively being referred to as #Chiyaan61. The film will be produced by Studio Green’s K. E. Gnanavel Raja. Details on the rest of the cast and crew will be announced shortly. The makers have also shared a pic of Vikram with director PA Ranjith and it is currently trending on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Vikram has wrapped up Ponniyin Selvan post-production work for this is going on currently at a fast pace. Ponniyin Selvan is slated to release in Summer 2022. The actor is currently busy shooting for the last schedule of Cobra with Ajay Gnanamuthu.
