TV actor-cum host Rithvik Dhanjani enjoys a genuine fanbase. He has impressed fans not just with his acting stints but also as an anchor. And now, taking his passion for hosting a step ahead, Dhanjani is coming up with a quirky dating reality show on OTT titled Datebaazi.

Talking about the show, Rithvik shared that it is about parents choosing dates for their children. “We are getting two generations together in the show. The parents will take over their kid’s dating applications and make rational decisions. The kids will have no control they will be separated from their families during the process. It’s a bizarre idea to get two generations together and to make the parents experience today’s dating life. The show is young and vibrant, and it’s got all the right cords for the audiences to binge-watch. Also, this is for the first time that I’m hosting something on OTT. It was wonderful, stated the Pavitra Rishta actor.

Furthermore, Rithvik expressed how the idea of romance and dating has changed over the years. He said that nowadays, quick dating has taken over slow romances. “You meet someone, like them, be with them for a couple of months or only weeks and then you move on to the other person. The choices and options are unlimited. But it’s not one of the best things. Old school romance kitna pyaara hota tha aur vo aaj nahi hai. That’s what I also miss,” he quoted.

Datebaazi is set to stream from December 1 on Amazon miniTV. It will see Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Uorfi Javed, Bharti Singh and Harsh Limabachiyaa as guests. Besides taking over the hosting duties of Datebaazi , Rithvik is shooting for a web show in Indore.
