After their great on-screen chemistry shone through in ‘Knives Out,’ Chris Evans and Ana de Armas are slated to return to the big screen in 2023.
The two will collaborate on the next film ‘Ghosted,’ produced by AppleTV+.
Their performance in the 2019 mystery film, which starred Daniel Craig as a flamboyant investigator, won critical acclaim, and it was the first time we saw the two together. They followed this up with another appearances in ‘The Gray Man,’ a 2022 film.
‘Ghosted’ is reported to be in production and will be available on the streaming service in 2023, though no exact release date has been announced.
This is the third collaboration between the two stars. Although no trailer has been released, Apple TV+ has released a first look at the streamer’s next romantic action adventure film, Ghosted, starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.
Evans is dressed in a formal black suit in the latest photo, while de Armas is dressed in a black neck cutout dress. Both of their features are somber, but de Armas appears to be looking forward to some adventure that Evans is concerned about.
Nonetheless, the image has fascinated followers, who have taken to Twitter to express their emotions.
The romantic action-adventure film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, known for helming biopics like as Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, and is based on a narrative by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who also serve as co-producers under Rhett Reese Productions.
Other producers include Apple Studios, David Ellison through his Skydance Media business, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Jules Daly. Apart from the primary actors, Evans and de Armas are also executive producers of Ghosted.
To be sure, Ghosted debuted in August 2021, starring Chris Evans and his Marvel co-star Scarlett Johansson. However, due to scheduling issues, the latter withdrew in December of that year, opening the way for de Armas.
The filming schedule began in February of last year, with the team setting up camp in Atlanta and Washington, DC. It was completed on May 12, 2022, and fans have been waiting for an update ever since.
Furthermore, because audiences adored Evans and de Armas’ prior collaborations, excitement for the next film was palpable. As soon as the first glance was out, supporters couldn’t keep their enthusiasm in check and showered the image with love.
Evans will play Cole Riggan in Ghosted, an Apple TV+ film, while Ana de Armas will play Sadie. Mike Moh Mr. Tim Blake Nelson Amy Sedaris is a writer.
In terms of a release date, Fletcher stated at the just ended Critics Choice Awards that the picture is still in post-production.
Given this idea, Ghosted might be a heady blend of romance and action. People enjoyed it when de Armas and Evans clashed in The Gray Man, so this new film is likely to do the same.
