Chris Evans Had The Best Reaction Seeing Ana de Armas As Marilyn Monroe In Blonde!

Ana de Armas co-star in Gray Man believes she will win an Oscar for her performance. Chris Evans is a celebrity fan of Ana de Armas’ beautiful transformation into Marilyn Monroe. She is one of the greatest female cinema legends of the Golden Age of Hollywood!

Ana de Armas plays troubled Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe, in Blonde, Netflix’s upcoming biopic based on Joyce Carol Oates’ novel. But, before the film hits Netflix on September 28 (becoming the streaming service’s first NC-17 project), de Armas had her private screening to show off the final cut to the film’s crew and artisans, as well as her close pals, including former Knives Out and The Gray Man co-star Chris Evans.

Evans described his first reaction to de Armas’ transition into a Hollywood icon in a Variety piece about her after witnessing it in Prague while they were filming The Gray Man.

During a Variety interview, the Avengers: Endgame star, who co-starred with Armas in the smash films Knives Out and The Gray Man, lavished admiration on the stunning, talented actress.

Chris Evans praised Ana de Armas’ sincere commitment to playing an “incredibly demanding” role in Blonde, given how iconic Marilyn Monroe was, is, and will always be.

I think for her this was an excellent opportunity she had to sink her teeth into something so demanding. I didn’t see one bit of fear; I saw excitement,” Evans said. Evans described how, when Armas initially showed him a still from her camera test as Monroe, he was so delighted that he believed Ana would win an Oscar Award.

“I remember looking at it and saying, ‘OK, that’s Marilyn… where’s your shot? That’s you? Holy crap! You’ll win an Oscar for this! “Chris Evans exclaimed.

Blonde, directed by Andrew Dominik, stars Adrien Brody and Bobby Cannavale and is based on Joyce Carol Oates’ 2000 novel of the same name. On September 28, the historical psychological drama film will be released.
