Court Rebukes Kangana In Javed Akhtar Defamation Case, Says, ‘She Will Be A Celebrity But She Is Also An Accused’ Checkout!
Film actress Kangana Ranaut’s troubles in the Javed Akhtar defamation case are not being named. A Mumbai court has lashed out at Kangana in the Javed Akhtar defamation case. Magistrate RR Khan told for Kangana Ranaut that being a celebrity, she may have professional work but she should not forget that she is an accused in a case. Dismissing Kangana’s plea, magistrate RR Khan said, “It is a matter of record that since the service of the summons, accused Kangana Ranaut has appeared on two occasions. She is of her choice to hear the matter.” The accused shall have to comply with the established procedure of law and the terms and conditions of his bail bond.
Magistrate RR Khan said, undoubtedly, being a celebrity the accused has his professional duties but she cannot forget that she is an accused in the case. Metropolitan Court Judge RR Khan dismissed Kangana’s application seeking permanent exemption from participating in court proceedings. The next hearing in this matter will now be held on April 7. The court, while rejecting Kangana’s petition, said, she will be given exemption to appear in court only in special circumstances. This will see the consent of both the complainant and the accused. In 2020, Javed Akhtar filed a case against Kangana Ranaut for making derogatory remarks against her during a television interview.
