From bringing the concept of size zero to being the first actress who actively worked during her pregnancy, Kareena has set benchmarks that are tough to break. But before carving niche for herself, the actress had to face a lot of criticism about her weight. She was referred to as chubby and was even fat-shamed in the early 2000s.

Internet reacts as Aditya Chopra calls Kareena ‘heavy girl’

Recently, an old interview of Kareena has surfaced online. A Reddit user posted media interaction through texted pictures. In the first photo, Kareena disclosed that Saif Ali Khan called her overweight yet sexy in a song. The next one is from her appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan’. She was discussing how she used to be little fat when she came on the show last time. The third picture shows Kareena’s interview, wherein she revealed that ‘Tashan’ producer Aditya gave her an ultimatum to be super fit for the film. He even termed her as ‘quiet a heavy girl’.

As soon as Kareena’s conversation on different occasions broke internet, netizens began reacting to the mentality of Bollywood people. One user commented, “The funny thing is she wasn’t even fat, she was perfectly healthy. Its just Aditya and many other men from the industry who were obsessed with slim fit physique.” Another said, “Aditya Chopra Maafi maango!” A third one stated, “Kareena is not fat. Adi wants women without ribs as well. He calls anyone and everyone fat.” “Well, industry standards are crazy,” read a comment. A user also informed, “Adi Chopra ka birth right hai har ladki ko mota bola.”
