It was on December 12, 2018, when Kapil Sharma tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath. The couple exchanged vows as per Hindu and Sikh customs. The couple is all set to welcome a baby just five months after the grand wedding, the report had also claimed that Kapil’s mother Janak Rani had also flown down to Mumbai to stay with her daughter-in-law.

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath are yet to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary along with it they will also celebrate the addition of a little member in their lives. Yes, the couple is on cloud 9 these days as they are expecting their first baby. It was on July 25, 2019, Kapil and Ginni were spotted at the airport complementing each other in black as they finally left for their honeymoon in Canada. Ginni was all smiles for the camera and was exuding pregnancy glow as she flaunted her baby bump. Here’s the picture:

After finally confirming Ginni’s pregnancy the daddy-to-be is all elated. In an interview, Kapil talked about his family and embracing parenthood soon. He shared, “My mom used to get upset with me previously. But now, she’s happy and she stays with me”, in the context of getting married and settling down. About his soon-to-arrive baby, he added, “Everyone in the family is excited about the baby. We don’t know if it would be a baby girl or a boy but whatever it is, we are all happy and waiting.”

Kapil Sharma and his pregnant wife Ginni Chatrath jetted off to Canada for their babymoon. After their babymoon return, Kapil and Ginni had attended their writer-friend, Vankush Arora and his wife, Riddhi Bhatt’s baby shower. The baby shower was graced by many other telly stars, including Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira, Kiku Shard and Sumona Chakravarti. A Mumbai Mirror report had earlier confirmed Ginni’s pregnancy and had shared the couple is expecting their first child. The report quoted a source saying, “They got the good news just a few days ago, Ginni’s due date is in December. Kapil has been busy with the shoot of his eponymous comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show, but he has now scheduled his shoot in a way that he gets to spend more with her. She too has been accompanying him on the shoot so they can spend time together.” The source has further added, “His colleagues ensure that she is well looked after on the set. At home, Kapil’s mother is taking care of her. Ginni’s family has also flown down from Jalandhar.”

It was only later when the daddy-to-be, Kapil Sharma had finally confirmed the news with Mumbai Mirror. He was quoted as saying, “I just want to take care of my wife and be by her side for now. We are obviously very excited as it’s our first kid but my mother is the most excited. She has been waiting for this moment for years now. We are just praying for Ginni and the baby’s health.” Revealing how the Sharma-Chatrath family is happily looking forward to welcoming the new member in their clan, Kapil Sharma had continued, “There is no prep because we don’t know if it would be a boy or girl. It’s a happy time for the family and everybody is looking forward to welcoming the new member. I am dubbing for a film for children. So, once the baby grows up, it will pay off.”
