TV actor Ali Asgar is quite famous among the audiences for his portrayal of ‘Dadi’ on The Kapil Sharma Show. The majority of people know him by his on-screen character only. To break this image, Asgar decided to participate in the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja, which has made a comeback on Indian Television after 5 years. But unfortunately, he has become the first contestant to get eliminated from the show.

In his last performance on Jhalak, which was based on a Family theme, Ali emoted a beautiful message. Soon after, the makers connected Ali to his children via a video call. In the video, his two kids, son Nuyaan Asgar and daughter Ada revealed that they were bullied in school because of their father’s onscreen portrayal of Dadi on Comedy Nights With Kapil. This left Ali in tears as he learned how his kids had to go through a lot because of his career.

Ali’s daughter shared how their school friends used to tell them that they have two mothers. They would also tag them with Basanti, dadi ka beta and dadi ki beti. In the end, Ada acknowledged her father’s courage to dress up like a woman and make a joke of himself so that the entire world laughs. She stated that it is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Judge Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit also got emotional after watching this. Johar told Ali that he will surely get his due in the industry as he is extremely talented.

Let us tell you that Jhalak Dikhla Ja has an interesting bunch of contestants this year. After Ali’s elimination, Paras Kalnawat, Rubina Dilaik, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Nia Sharma, Niti Taylor, Amruta Khanvilkar, Faisu, and Shilpa Shinde, among others are still in the race to win the trophy.
