“The most horrific thing any of us had to do it through,” says Emma Watson, who plays Ron in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.”
In addition, Daniel Radcliffe, who admits to being “an enormous jerk” in the lead-up to the moment, reportedly made it much more terrifying for the audience. The reunion special ‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’, which is now streaming on Netflix, discussed about Radcliffe, Watson, and Rupert Grint in the reunion.
Radcliffe turned to face the audience and stated, “As a result, they did not make this situation any better because they have been told several times that he was being like a complete jerk”.
Greta Grint (Ron) said, “the kiss between the characters had been worked up so much during the whole series”. Watson was concerned that they would not complete the task on the day in question since neither could take it seriously. However, she said, “they didn’t stop corpsing, and they couldn’t stop laughing.”
Ron and Hermione eventually exchanged kisses during a particularly heartbreaking scene in ‘Deathly Hallows Part 2’, when the protagonists get trapped in the Chamber of Secrets. When Hermione uses a basilisk fang to destroy one of the last surviving Horcruxes, a magical flood of water comes rushing towards them. Hermione and Ron manage to avoid being swallowed. When they discover that they have survived, then two of them express their long-blooming love for one another.
Watson said that Radcliffe was not the only one who wanted to come to the scene and witness the incident. Everyone acted as though it was a significant event, and as a result, they had no choice but to go for it. It is said that she “took no prisoners,” according to director David Yates.
