Deepika Padukone Gets Emotional When Sharing Last Conversation With Late Sridevi

The legendary actress Sridevi passed away abruptly in February 2018 and has left a void in everyone’s heart, especially her loved ones. This Sunday, a book on her life was launched and Deepika Padukone and Boney Kapoor were present for the launch. The unveiling of the book took place at the literature festival held in Delhi; everyone present at the event was nostalgic.

Shedding light, Deepika Padukone shared how both these beauties being from South Indian culture, majorly bonded on those ground and also sometimes went on to discuss things including issues pertaining to their domestic help. She said, “Maybe somewhere the South Indian connect. So much so that my last conversation with her was about staff issues at home. That’s the relationship we shared.” She also mentioned being extremely fond of Sridevi and remembered the times when the legendary actress had praised her on personal messages, post watching her movies.

 

The Helicopter Eela actress has penned the foreword for the biography, confirming of the same she said, “I have grown up watching Sridevi’s superstardom on film-sets and her magic on the big screen. She is an institution of acting and will forever remain my most favourite icon. So happy Penguin gave me this opportunity to write this foreword.”
