Delhi Police Registered Child Pornography Case Against Twitter

Delhi Police has registered a case against Twitter on Tuesday. A report has been filed in the case of child pornography. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on June 25 directed the DCP of Cyber ​​Cell of Delhi Police for non-compliance of its earlier direction of FIR in the matter of alleged availability of material related to child sexual abuse and pornography on Twitter.

The commission had earlier directed an FIR against Twitter, but the same was not implemented. The commission, in a letter to DCP (Cyber ​​Cell) Anyesh Roy, had asked Twitter MD to appear before the NCPCR through video conferencing on June 29 and also share the action taken report in that concern.

The NCPCR said that it had found in its study that material related to child sexual abuse and pornography is available on Twitter, which is in the reach of children. After this, they wrote a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner on May 29 asking him to register an FIR against Twitter.
