Popular TV actress Ratan Raajputh might have maintained a distance from the screen for a long time, but she stays in the limelight due to her confessions and revelations. The actress runs a YouTube channel where she keeps sharing her opinions on various issues. In a recent interview, Ratan talked about the trend of ‘Swayamvar’.

Around 5 seasons of the show came out with different celebs like Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan, Mallika Shehrawat and Mika Singh participating in it. At the same time, ‘Agele Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’ fame Ratan Raajputh also had a Swayamvar.

In the year 2011, ‘Ratan Ka Rishta’ started as a reality show on Imagine TV.  The actress was seen here as a bride. During the finale, she chose contestant Abhinav Sharma as her groom. It was assumed that Ratan and Abhinav will be bound in the bond of 7 births after getting married. But later the news came that both of them have separated by mutual consent. In such a situation, the fans of this show were quite shocked if it was all for TRP and if the entire show is fake. Now, Ratan has now disclosed about the same.

In a conversation with Aaj Tak, the actress told what was going on in his mind when she signed the show. She also revealed that she had to face a lot of loss after doing the Swayamvar show. Ratan said, “I had no idea what would happen in the show. I thought I would be a contestant in the show. I could not understand. So I took 3 months to say yes to the makers. And they stayed. ”

Furthermore, the actress shared, “I was single. So I felt that I have to settle down. My intention was that if I get a good boy, then definitely. Ratan told that it depends on the person’s intention with which he is doing such shows. She said that if someone comes on Swayamvars with a fake intention, he will fake it.

Talking about people saying that Ratan did the show for money, the actress admitted that she had done it for money because she was a face. Channels and production were earning because of her, so why would she do it for free?

On a concluding note, Ratan Raajputh disclosed that after ‘Ratan Ka Rishta’, the attitude of the industry people changed towards her. They used to say, ‘Hey Ratan has done Swayamvar. But there was a lot ahead for her.’ To this, the actress questioned if careers end after marriage.
