Dhanush’s Character, In ‘Jagame Thandhiram’, To Have Shades Of Superstar Rajinikanth
Dhanush made his debut in Twitter Spaces during the audio launch of his upcoming film Jagame Thandhiram. On account of that, fans of the star were in for a treat. The film is set to release on June 18 on Netflix. The conversation was participated by the film’s director and composer, Karthik Subbaraj and Santhosh Narayanan respectively, alongside Dhanush himself.
Later Dhanush said, “Right now, people are badly stressed out of their lives. Jagame Thandhiram is a kind of film, which will make people relax a bit. The character role I’m essaying in the film is named Suruli. This character is one of my favorites. I’ve already started bugging Karthik for making a sequel.” The film features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, Jogu George. Attractively, Jagame Thandhiram marks the debut of actor James Cosmo, the Jeor Mormont of “Game of Thrones”.
He added, “Suruli has the shades of our beloved superstar Rajini sir. Both I and Karthik are huge fans of him. In my previous films, I’ve always stayed away from having the Rajinikanth influence in my performance. Karthik has given me his words that this time it’ll be there.” The character of Dhanush will tell the story of a nomadic gangster who has to choose between good and evil.
Later, in a statement, director Karthik Subbaraj said, “Jagame Thandhiram is my dream film that was made with the ambition of a gripping story. The story tells us about a globally prevalent issue through a locally rooted character, which is the most interesting and entertaining. Audiences will again see Dhanush, playing the character role with his immense talent and as an entertainer on Netflix. The film will be available worldwide on June 18th on Netflix.”
The film is produced by YNot Studios and Reliance Entertainment. Reportedly, Dhanush is currently in Los Angeles for his upcoming film’s shooting, The Gray Man. He reveals that he craves “home food” is growing bigger and that he’s missing the taste a lot. he said he should be going back to Chennai soon. Dhanush’s last film was Karnan, which was critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
