Television actor Aman Jaiswal, known for his lead role in the hit series Dhartiputra Nandini, passed away in a tragic road accident in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West area yesterday. The 29-year-old actor was reportedly struck by a truck while riding his motorcycle, leading to his untimely demise.
The accident occurred on Hill Park Road around 3:15 pm. According to police reports, the truck driver hit Jaiswal while he was en route to an audition. Jaiswal was rushed to the trauma ward of Cama Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The driver of the truck has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered at Amboli police station, as confirmed by Mumbai Police.
Dhiraj Mishra, writer of Dhartiputra Nandini, revealed that Jaiswal had been heading for an audition when the fatal collision occurred on the Jogeshwari highway. Fans and colleagues expressed shock and grief upon hearing the news, remembering the actor as a dedicated artist and a rising star in the television industry.
Aman Jaiswal originally hailed from Balia, Uttar Pradesh, and faced significant opposition from his family when he decided to pursue a career in acting. In his final Instagram post, Jaiswal reflected on his journey, sharing how his perseverance led him to the spotlight with Dhartiputra Nandini.
Before his breakout role, Jaiswal started as a model and gained recognition through the popular show Udaariyaan, produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. He also portrayed Yashwant Rao Phanse in Sony TV’s historical drama Punyashlok Ahilyabai, which ran from January 2021 to October 2023.
