Dia Mirza, the stunning actress who won hearts with her films like Thappad and Lage Raho Munnabhai, has a love story that is nothing short of a fairy tale. She married Vaibhav Rekhi, a businessman, on February 15, 2021, in a low-key ceremony. The couple met during the lockdown in 2020 and fell in love. They have a son together, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, and Vaibhav also has a daughter from his previous marriage.

Dia Shares Rare Glimpses of Her Wedding Day

On their third wedding anniversary, Dia took to social media to share some unseen photos from her wedding day. She looked radiant in a red silk saree, while Vaibhav looked dapper in a white kurta-pyjama with a waistcoat. The pictures showed them taking the pheras in a traditional manner, with smiles on their faces.

Dia and Vaibhav’s Modern and Inclusive Family

Dia and Vaibhav have been setting an example of a modern and inclusive family, as they maintain a cordial relationship with their ex-spouses. Dia is friends with Vaibhav’s ex-wife, Sunaina Rekhi, and Vaibhav is supportive of Dia’s ex-husband, Sahil Sangha. They also celebrate festivals and occasions together with their children.

In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Dia said, “I am all for being a poster girl for this kind of a modern inclusive family. I mean we should have more of this, so please. I am happy to give tips to anybody who wants to be friends with their exes and ex-wives and whoever.”

Dia also revealed that she and Vaibhav live in the same building as Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who are also divorced but remain friends. She said that they are a source of inspiration for them.

Dia Mirza is currently gearing up for the release of her next film, Dhak Dhak, which also stars R Madhavan, her co-star from her debut film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. The film is slated to release on Diwali this year.
