The actress said, ‘Everything we use in our daily lives comes from the earth and it should go back to the earth in a healthy form and shape for the earth and people. A few days ago, we told the world that we have used up the resources that the earth provides us every year, it is called ‘Earth Overshoot Day’. This happened in August, there are still four months left in this year and we have already exceeded our consumption or what the earth provides. This means that we are stealing from our children and future generations what they need to live, to be healthy, and to be happy.’

So we need to go back to basics and return to our roots because our ancestors who lived and walked on this earth knew that we need to be less harmful to the earth. We are the ones who serve food on leaf plates, who serve water in metal vessels and earthen pots.’
