Did You Know That Rhea Chakraborty Was Mentioned During Aryan Khan’s Bail Hearing? Here’s Why!
Following the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in the ongoing cruise drug case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the superstar allegedly sought the help of lead attorney Satish Maneshinde.
Aryan was in the custody of the NCB until October 7. It is reported that Additional Attorney General Anil Singh appeared on behalf of the NCB and requested further detention. A report in Bar and Bench said ASG brought the charges against Rhea Chakraborty to explain that the charges were “non-bailable.”
The Solicitor General reportedly read out the Bombay High Court Judgment to point out that all the NDPS offenses leveled at them were non-bailable.
Maneshinde had allegedly argued that Aryan was invited to the cruise along with his friend Merchant and that he had not paid money to get on board. “Nothing incriminating was recovered from Aryan Khan except his mobile phone. His friend (Merchant) was arrested because he had six grams of charas, but that has nothing to do with my client,” Maneshinde said.
He also refuted the NCB’s claims that Khan consumed drugs even when he was abroad. “During the entire period of his (Aryan) stay abroad, he has not been involved in any trafficking, supply or distribution of drugs,” Maneshinde added.
Meanwhile, reports state that the NCB is likely to seek an extension in the custody of Aryan Khan today. According to a report on Times Now, this comes after the NCB arrested a foreign national from Bandra late Wednesday night. It was reported that a commercial quantity of mephedrone (MD) was recovered from him.
