Director Ram Gopal Varma Told ‘The Kashmir Files’ A Game-changer, Said This Big Thing For RRR
Director SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’, which were released at the box office recently, are earning hugely. Since its release, the film has been breaking records across the world. Everyone has given a different reaction to the film. Meanwhile, now famous filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has given his reaction to both these films.
Recently, during a conversation with a website, noted filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma called RRR a gamechanger and not RRR. Elaborating on his point, he also said that The Kashmir Files can inspire a lot of filmmakers to make films on various subjects on a low budget. Meanwhile, talking about the stupendous success of RRR and The Kashmir Files, Ram Gopal said, “I don’t think RRR can bring any change. It is a film that has been made on a large scale. RRR is one such film, Which comes once in four or five years. To make a film like this one needs a director with a good track record like Rajamouli.”
He further added, “While, if you consider The Kashmir Files, it is a gamechanger. It gives confidence to the filmmakers. That is, if you make a film with a budget of 10 crores, it changes.” I will make you 250 crores. The Kashmir Files has done the same. RRR and The Kashmir Files are doing well. But, The Kashmir Files is easy to make, not RRR. Not everyone has 500 crores as a budget. But the makers will have Rs 10 crore as budget.”
On the other hand, talking about both the films, the film RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, was released on 25 March.
