In a recent interview, when asked if she was typecast, the actress said, “To be honest, it never happened that directors would ask you what you can or cannot do. Often, it was the actors who decided what the actresses would do.”

Isha further said, “You have heard about the Me Too movement, right? There is truth in it. If you have values, it is difficult to survive in Bollywood.

Many girls left the industry due to the fear of the casting couch. Girls were told to either comply or give up. There are very few who are still in the industry and have not given up, and I am one of them.”

Discussing the casting couch further, Isha mentioned, “Many times, producers and directors would call for meetings and not only touch inappropriately but also squeeze hands and say that you have to be friends with the hero. Not only that, once a big hero told me to come alone to meet him.

She expressed: He even asked me not to bring my driver because at that time his name was linked with another actress. He told me that if I wanted to survive in Bollywood, I had to be sociable.”
