First Meeting

Pahlaj Nihalani saw Divya Bharti in pictures sent for Gadar 2 by Sunny Deol’s assistant. The director initially told Divya she wouldn’t be cast in his film until she lost weight. However, by the time she did, the production of Shola Aur Shabnam was almost finished. . The film was shot without a heroine. Only five or six days were left to shoot. When Pahlaj finally saw Divya in person, he loved her so much that he gave her several roles.
