Earlier this year, TV stars Divya Agarwal and Varun Sood shocked one and all with their announcement of parting ways after dating for quite a long time. This piece of news broke the hearts of those who shipped the couple and found them perfect for each other. Though they could have kept it a secret, Divya decided to make their breakup official through a social media post. In an exclusive interview, the reality TV winner has opened up on the backlash she received after making her breakup news Public. Not only that, but Divya also talked about the reason for her split with Varun.
While sharing about the negativity she received on the length note she posted regarding her breakup, Divya said she got abused by many users on the internet. “Mujhe gaaliyan bhi padi thi, but I ignored them,” she stated.
Further in the interview, when Divya was questioned about what led her and Varun to go separate paths, she did not divulge much on the details. She told that some things are personal and it is better to keep them like that. “The fact that I don’t want to talk about why we split makes everyone go crazy, but there are a few things that are private and you keep them to yourself. I could see how things would be with Varun, a few years later, and it was better to end the chapter on a good note… so that the good memories stay with me.”
While Varun is still tight-lipped about his split with Divya, the lady has time and again talked about it openly. When Varun was accused of infidelity in his relationship with Divya, she was heard defending him. In her tweet against those who accused Varun of two-timing Divya with actress Madhurima Roy, the latter wrote, “Dare anyone say anything about Varun’s character.. not every separation happens because of character! He is an honest man! It’s my decision to be alone no one has the right to speak anything rubbish! It takes a lot of strength to take decisions like these in life Respect.”
For the unversed, Divya and Varun had fallen for each other on the sets of MTV Ace Of Space. The two were in a live-in relationship until they decided to call it quits.
