In the year 2011, when the son of popular Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor came on TV’s controversial talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’, new controversies arose. During the show’s signature rapid-fire round, the host of the show and film producer Karan Johar asked him who comes first to his mind when it comes to cosmetic surgery. Tusshar took Preity Zinta’s name without thinking much. Reacting to this, he immediately said, ‘Ouch. I’m sorry, it was just to win the hamper.’

Let us tell you that this comment gave rise to a new controversy in the entertainment industry, due to which Preity called Tusshar and expressed her displeasure before the episode aired. Later, he clarified that his comment was made in jest and then also praised Preity. After his ‘cosmetic surgery’ comment about Preity, Tusshar told one of the media houses that Preity Zinta called him after being upset with his response.

Talking to one of the media houses, Tusshar said, ‘Preity called me. She was upset and I cleared my stand. Everyone knows Karan’s rapid-fire rounds are just for fun and laughter. When Karan puts you in the dock, you don’t even get time to think. Recently, I saw Preity’s picture in a magazine and she looked gorgeous after losing a lot of weight. So, when Karan asked, Preity’s name came up out of the blue. There’s nothing more to it.’

The actor also praised Preity and said, ‘I have loved Preity since Soldier. I didn’t mean to hurt her and I feel bad that my comment turned into such a bad controversy. I’m glad we talked and sorted it out instead of letting it get worse. I don’t even know what Botox really is and why would I say something like that about someone I respect.’
