Actress Kangana Ranaut is one of the most sought-after heroines in Bollywood. She is not just known to deliver mind-blowing performances, but also for putting forward her views on the ongoing happenings in political world. It is Ranaut’s interest in this particular subject that led to speculations of her joining politics. But in a recent interaction, the Queen actress ruled out all the possibilities of herself entering political arena by stating that she want to focus on her film career only.
“I don’t have any plans to enter politics as I’m busy with the shooting of my films. I do have an interest in politics but as an artist only. And I’m a successful artist as I started my career at the age of 16. I have reached the present stage after a lot of struggle,” said Kangana.
The 35-year-old actress said her fondness for politics will show up in her films. “I don’t have the capacity to start over in a new career but I will always make good films keeping in mind my interest in politics,” stated Ranaut.
“I’m a patriotic… I’m so busy with my work and I will always support those people who are doing good for the country, irrespective of the party they belong to,” she added further.
The Panga actress also talked about her affection for Lal Bahadur Shastri. She said that on October 2, everyone remembers Gandhi but not many remember Shastri ji. “There are many heroes who did not get the PR publicity and many deserving and unsung heroes are there. I identify with those who couldn’t do much PR but they did good work and are most deserving. I believe Shastri ji has been that kind of person and I have been Shastri ji’s fan,” quoted Kangana.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will come up with Emergency which stars her as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from her, the movie stars Anupam Kher as the revolutionary leader J P Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Mahima Chaudhry as author-cultural activist Pupul Jayakar.
