Telangana minister Konda Surekha who has recently made serious allegations about several actresses including Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been trapped into controversies. Amid ongoing controversy, Rakul Preet Singh has also reacted to Konda Surekha’s statement on the issue of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. While taking the issue to social media Rakul reacted to this controversy. She has said, “My, Samantha, and some other actresses’ names should not be used in political matters”.

Rakul Preet Singh said, ‘The Telugu film industry is known all over the world for its creativity and professionalism. I have had a very good journey in this industry. I am still associated with Telugu cinema. I have nothing to do with any person or political party. I request you to stop misusing my name for political gain. Artists should be kept away from political feuds and controversies. Do not use their names for political gain by linking them to fictional stories.’

Let us tell you that, in a statement during an interview, Konda Surekha accused VRS leader KTR of attending drug-related parties and claimed that he was responsible for the divorce of South industry’s famous couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. After which entire industry came on one side and slammed the leader for her baseless comment.

According to some of the media reports, Surekha alleged that KTR used to tap the phones of actresses and blackmail them. The minister said, ‘It is KT Rama Rao who is responsible for the divorce of actress Samantha … He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them … He used to make them drug addicts and then do this … Everyone knows this, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family … everyone knows that something like this happened.’
