Dry Spat In 2 Mumbai Theatres Releasing Movie ‘Radhe’- Deets Inside

The Maharashtrian government announced on Saturday the opening of movie theatres in certain areas. The government segregated the state into different levels depending on the active covid case numbers. Locations that fell under the level 1 and 2 were allowed to resume certain activities. Movie theatres in Malegaon and Aurangabad under the two levels screened the movie ‘Radhe’. One of the theaters was a drive-through.

Even with the lack of entertainment due to the lockdown only a handful of people choose to purchase tickets and watch the show. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the owner of a drive-through theatre stated, “For the 7:30 pm show, 22 people came to watch the film in the car while 40 viewers sat on the chairs. We had to cancel the 9:30 pm show as nobody turned up. I wish it had not come directly on OTT. Then the response would have been great”.

Despite the slow start, the makers of the film intend on continuing the release of the film in more cities in the coming days. The low turnout rate in Maharashtra was linked to the Covid-19 scare rather than the actual potential of the movie. The overseas turnover for the movie is doing well. However, Bollywood Hungama reports that ‘Radhe’ collected Rs 69, 265 as of June 12th.  Radhe

The movie has also recently been involved in the KRK vs Actor Salman Controversy. Despite the negative rating provided by KRK and the covid1-19 pandemic lockdowns, the movie has garnered some love. The manager of Khinvasara Complex in Maharashtra said, ” We didn’t give any ad in the papers that we are releasing Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai. We got the posters only by late afternoon. Still, some people found out and came to see the film”.

For those wanting to watch the movie on the big screen sources state the wait won’t be too long.
