‘Eijaz Wanted To Change Me, My Mother Was Against It Since He Was Muslim’, Anita Hassanandani Opens Up On Her Relationship Status

TV’s one of the most beautiful actresses Anita Hassanandani who is known for her roles in films and TV shows, has opened up about her relationship with actor Eijaz Khan. She said that she regrets changing herself to please Eijaz. She also revealed that her mother did not support the relationship due to Eijaz’s religious background which was one of the reasons for their separation.

The actress is known for her stints in several popular TV shows, including Kavyanjali and Naagin. During a conversation with one of the media houses, she revealed what went wrong in her relationship with Eijaz. Anita said, “It was one of the first few long-term relationships of my life and I even went against my mother because he was from another culture. He was Muslim and I am Hindu. She did not refuse it outright, but she always had her concerns. We were good individually, but we were not good for each other. It didn’t work out and that’s it.”

Anita revealed that her breakup was very difficult and it took her over a year to get over it. She also revealed that Eijaz wanted to change her. She said, “Someone trying to change you to love you is not love, but I didn’t realize it then because I was in love and I was willing to change for the person I loved. I wish I hadn’t changed so much and I would have been myself. I would have been a different person… It took me over a year to move on. I literally moved to my best friend’s house because I was so depressed. Every morning, she would cheer me up.”

Anita further added, “Most importantly, don’t stay with someone who is trying to change you. Keep checking their phone from time to time because it is important. If he is hiding his phone, keeping it upside down, then something is wrong. Thirdly, he is taking you away from family and friends. You have to find a balance and decide everything properly.”
