Emraan Hashmi takes a dig at Kangana Ranaut

During an interview with Subhankar Mishra, Emraan was asked about his take on award shows and whether he agrees with actress, Kangana Ranaut that they are ‘useless’, the actor rather took an indirect dig at Kangana and stated: “Kyuki milna band ho gaya phir uske baad? Mujhe ek award mila I forget… for which I went to the award ceremony and mujhe iske baad iss cheez ka ek value pata chali ki iske peeche game kya hai. Agar aap perform kar rahe hein woh ek baat he… it is essentially a barter deal.”

Moving on in the interview, Emraan revealed the dark reality of award shows, claiming that they are only for those looking to decorate their living room. To quote him: “I won’t diss on awards. Jin logon ko apna living room sajana hai woh kare! Wo jaake perform kare… I can’t pat myself on the back saying, ‘Maine aisi performance di hai kyuki ye jhoot baat hein. Usme honesty honi chahiye ki award isliye mila hai kyuki apki performance acchi thi. Toh fir award ka fayda hi kya agar ek barter deal hai toh.”
