Encounter of Atiq Ahmed, Defamation Case Against Rahul Gandhi And Much More…

Edits | May, 2023

The Party in the Centre has it all figured out what the modus operandi has to be till the general elections of 2024. Choosing to camouflage the big event of Adani Enterprises, since then a sequence of events of national consequences have happened or may have been deliberated to have happened, and they have kept happening. No news has come of Adani Enterprises except for a committee of bakers being formed that may look into the misgivings of the Hindenburg report. Henceforth then, there have been shootouts, political arrests, people of the opposite parties being targeted by agencies like ED, CBI and the Income Tax and a disintegrating Pakistan on the verge of bankruptcy as well as political turmoil. One big thing that solicits from such a movement of BJP and running the entire bureaucracy as its own, and also against the elected opposition, is that it ensures that there is a virtual ban of young people endeavouring into politics, even if these young people are from a political party background. Such is the aroma in the country that anybody who is in the opposition in politics is scared or is already being tormented and threatened of being dislodged for personal assets, only they happened to be in the opposition.

The Sporadic precise and targeted killing of Atiq Ahmed is a good and bad thing for politics and the mafia Raj in the country. By one estimate, almost 66,000 acres of land have been under the control of mafias nationwide. In law, there is an old dictum which says that the matter is of the court and paper needs to be settled in the courts. But the matters of lath (fighting long stick) have to be settled, the way they have sprung up, and not in the court. Though we live in a civilised society governed by a certain set of laws, and most of the population is law-abiding. But there are certain circumstances and individuals who are either above it or below. A broad daylight killing of such timing can only be executed, if there is enough knowledge of all of the physical movement of the troupe, the aftermath, precision shooting, focus and a perfect getaway. Up until now, the media has been saying what is being told by the authorities about the getaway shooters’ group, which were whisked away instantly. What followed after Atiq Ahmed and his brother Gulab Ahmed’s encounter is something that the government and maybe the general population of that area could have used. Though the thinking of the government that this would kill the mafia raj or restrain them from setting off a spree of some sort is a little far-fetched since these kinds of encounters have always happened, and the mafia still remains a mafia as the genesis of the mafia is a personal grievance derived from a circumstance rather than a career move. Most of these are incubated in the cradles of politics, corrupt business people and the corrupt tops in the government or bureaucracy. Every regime creates a certain set of mafia, and successive regimes would wipe them out, giving way to recreate its own set of new mafia, and hence the cycle goes on. In recent history, we can look at Indira Gandhi creating Bhindranwale, which came to hound her in her personal life, and then the entire rot of then had to be eliminated disrupting the mafia circle, more so, as recently seen with the arrest of self-styled self-acclaimed Khalistani leader that this mafia circle does not stop.

Rahul Gandhi’s claim to the PM chair is perhaps laden with so many pitfalls that it is difficult to judge whether it is an internal politics of the Congress or simply acts of various bodies and people in opposition to him. With the run-up of the Karnataka state elections plus many more, and the general elections of 2024, his lawyers have not been capable enough to argue the matter of defamation against the Modi community, even though it is a very simple matter and should be taken up by the court over a good argument. Though the Congress has some of the best arguing senior lawyers in the country, they have not moved the Gujarat High Court quickly enough and strategically enough to get a favourable order. It smells like internal politics within Congress, or maybe some sort of a ploy after the Bharat yatra of Rahul Gandhi, which did propel a lot of upheaval in common people and party workers. Also, the way the Tughlaq Road house in which he has lived for almost 20 years has been vacated without a fight seems to be something amiss. All in all, the round of general elections of 2024 is wholly to be another term for Prime Minister Modi and the BJP, thanks to the strategically aligned and executed movements. While PM Modi and Shah make the same mistakes as Indira Gandhi of yesteryears by being the only face and the alternative to an elected government, new faces, and leaders being incubated, are yet to be seen.

Life does not go on forever, and there could be game-changing instances that can disrupt any huge machinery behind oneself or when the central figure seems to be the only figure which matters.
