There are many TV stars who had no clue that they would become actors as they were in different professions before landing into the acting field. Tejaswi Prakash
‘Naagin 6’ actress Tejaswi Prakash rose to fame with her character Ragini in Colors TV’s hit show ‘Swaragini’. She is also the winner of Bigg Boss 15, a reality show where she got to meet her love of life Karan Kundra. The duo are famously known as ‘Tejran’. However, before achieving this much success in the TV industry, Tejaswi was an Engineering student. She has completed her graduation in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University. The actress used to prepare for her engineering examinations between the shoots of ‘Swaragaini’. Her dialogue “Mere Ko math mat seekha, I am an engineer baba” from Bigg 15 while wrongly arguing with Prateek Shejpal on a math question is still a meme material for many.
Harshad Chopda
Harshad Chopda is currently winning hearts of audiences with his character Dr. Abhimanyu Birla in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actor is the recipient of numerous awards including ITA and Telly Awards. In his acting career, he portrayed many iconic characters including Aditya in Bepanah, Anurag in Tere Liye and Prem Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. However, Harshad Chopda’s parents never wanted him to become an actor. He was an Engineering student before joining the TV industry. The ‘Tere Liye’ actor has completed his computer engineering from P.E.S. Modern College of Engineering, Pune. Later, Harshad turned to Mumbai to give auditions and finally got selected for his first show ‘Mamta’ in 2006.
Abhinav Shukla
Abhinav Shukla is best known for playing Dr. Manan in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Rajdeep in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. The actor comes from a highly educated Punjabi family and thus he was pursuing engineering in his initial phase of career. Abhinav Shukla completed his BTech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moga, Punjab in 2004. Karan V Grover
Karan V Grover has been one of the finest actors on Indian Television. The actor is best known for his role Dr. Rohit Sippy in Kahan Hum Kahan Tum and Karan Prasad in Yahan Mai Ghar Ghar Kheli. Grover pursued chemical engineering He studied chemical engineering from Bombay Institute of Technology. Apart from engineering, the actor has also done a course in event management from National Institute of Event Management. He worked as an Event manager for Omang Kumar’s company before stepping into acting.
Manish Raisinghan
Manish Raisinghan became a household name after playing Sidhant Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka opposite Avika Gaur.
