Bollywood actress Esha Deol hails from a big filmy family. When she was actively working in the industry, the actress had an ugly fight with her ‘Pyaare Mohan’ co-star Amrita Rao. It all began when Amrita said something nasty about Esha in front of filmmaker Indra Kumar and other crew members which left Esha fuming with anger.
As a result, the two actresses got into a heated argument. Soon things escalated to a level that the former ended up slapping the latter publicly. The incident is still afresh in the media mills. Now in a recent interaction, Esha also talked about the same and shared her changed view on the whole fiasco.
Retrospecting the popular episode from her life, Esha said that whatever had happened in the past, shouldn’t have occurred. She stated that she was a 20-year-old girl, who did not have patience in her decision. The actress mentioned that she is much calmer person now. However, she highlighted that Amrita, too wouldn’t have behaved in the same way that day. Esha quoted:
“The 20-year-old Esha did it. What happened shouldn’t have happened. But now I’m patient and I’m sure that person also wouldn’t have done what they did that day.”
Back in 2005, Esha had claimed that she didn’t regret slapping Amrita and that she deserved it.
In another interview, Esha had said that she had let bygones be bygones and had forgiven Amrita’s inappropriate behaviour. The actress shared that Amrita recognised her mistake and apologised to her. She said that their relationship has improved.
Hema Malini too supported her daughter Esha’s stance of slapping Amrita Rao. During her appearance in the show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Hema addressed the infamous incident. She said that if someone says wrong things and keep on doing that even after repeatedly told not to do so, one has to take such routes to teach them a lesson.
Meanwhile, Esha Deol who took a sabbatical from work after marriage has begun her second innings in acting. She made a comeback with short film ‘Cakewalk’ in 2019. Esha appeared last in web show ‘Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega’.
