The ‘Euphoria’ actress, who will host her debut ‘Saturday Night Live’ set on March 2, has already enthralled viewers with her preview snippets.
In the most recent Saturday Night Live preview, Sydney Sweeney, 26, hilariously rejected comedian Michael Longfellow, 30. The Euphoria actress made an appearance in the promotional video on February 28. In the clip, Sweeney was pictured walking through Studio 8H. She then bumped into the actor on the set. “I am so sorry!” Michael said as the two crashed.
The Sketch
Sydney happened to run into Michael when she was reading Kafka on the Shore during a break from practice. She expressed her apology to the SNL regular, saying, “No, it was my fault. Watch here.” Michael tried asking the 26-year-old out on a date after picking up the Haruki Murakami novel. “You know, this is one of my favourite books of all time,” Michael gushed. The studio lights went pink, and romantic music started to play.
“This is crazy, but would you ever maybe want to…,” he said, just before Sydney was pictured walking away. “Oh, she left a while ago. Cool. Whatever, I didn’t like this book anyway.” When the romantic music and lights returned to the studio, Michael quickly asked the team to ditch the vibe. “She said no. Didn’t work. Thank you, though,” the 30-year-old shouted. The comedy sketch show is March 2 episode will be hosted in Sydney, and Kacey Musgraves will be the musical guest.

Soon after the video was shared on social media, many Sydney fans took to the comments to react. “Put this man in more sketches, thx [sic],” one admirer joked, while another wrote, “Michael Smoothfellow.” Others couldn’t help but praise Sydney in the video. “She’s beautiful,” a third fan gushed, while a fourth added in, “How any of us would be with Sydney.” For the promotional clip, the starlet rocked an all-denim ensemble that featured a button-up jacket along with matching trousers. She also accessorized with sexy black high-heel pumps.
