After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, many actors have come under the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for their alleged connection with using drugs. Last year, we saw big names like Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapor, Sara Ali Khan, etc. visiting the NCB office for questioning.
Now, Bigg Boss 7 contestant Armaan Kohli, has been detained after a raid was conducted by the department at his Juhu residence. As per the sources, NCB recovered some quantity of cocaine from his house. NCB Zonal Director (Mumbai) Sameer Wankhede revealed, “After the raid, actor Armaan Kohli gave ambiguous answers to questions put up by NCB. He was then taken to custody for questioning at the NCB office.”
According to an update on ANI, “Armaan Kohli and drug peddler Ajay Raju Singh have been arrested under sections 21(a), 27(a), 28, 29, 30, and 35 of the NDPS Act. NCB office raided Kohli’s house in suburban Andheri and recovered a small quantity of Cocaine drug from him.”
As per NCB, their primary investigation shows that the case has international linkages as the cocaine seized has South American origin.
NCB is claiming that they are searching for the route and linkages used to bring the seized cocaine to Mumbai and the involvement of other traffickers.
Armaan will be produced before a city court today. In 2018, Armaan Kohli was arrested by the excise department for possessing as many as 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence, which was against the law. Before this, Kohli was also arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Neeru Randhawa.
