Director Nag Ashwin is everyone’s favorite at the moment. Kalki 2898 AD is still ruling the box office. Nag Ashwin is married to Priyanka. Now he is ready to bring the second part of Kalki 2898 AD. A source close to the matter said, ‘The sequel has to be planned in any case, no matter what the fate of Kalki is. Now that it has proved to be a money-maker beyond anything, the makers felt the next part should be expedited. The source further said, ‘At the moment it is not very clear whether Deepika Padukone will be a part of Kalki 2898 AD sequel or not. Many sources have informed me that the makers are willing to wait till the completion of Deepika’s maternity leave. But now with the demand for a sequel increasing with the growing success of the first film, the makers may decide to replace Deepika with someone else in the second part.’

It is worth noting that Kalki 2898 AD has not performed as well as expected in the Telugu language. But it has made a splash at the box office in the cow belt. With this film, Nag Ashwin has joined the ranks of the biggest Indian film directors along with SS Rajamouli, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Karan Johar. Obviously, the fans are upset to hear this. Their reactions are also being seen.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has performed well in theaters for two weeks and its box office collection has not been hampered due to no major release, but this streak is likely to end today as the dystopian science-fiction will face big competition from Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ and will also clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’. On the 15th day of its release, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ earned Rs 6.7 crore at the domestic box office. The total collection of the film has reached Rs 543.45 crore.
