The ace choreographer and director Farah Khan is someone who has carved her way in the showbiz through sheer talent and hard work. She was born with a silver spoon in mouth but had to spent a part of her childhood in extreme poverty.

Khan who began her career as a background dancer soon turned into a successful choreographer and then into a filmmaker. As she is celebrating her 58th birthday, here’s a throwback at one of the tear-jerking incidents she had shared from her early days.

Her father was rich, stars used to come to her house, parties used to happen, but one day suddenly everything changed.

Furthermore, Farah revealed that her father used to be a director, producer and actor of B-grade films. So, he put all his money in the project in an attempt to make A-grade film. But unfortunately, the film tanked at the box office. Post this, her family became poor overnight. They had to struggle for about 15 years.

At that time her mother’s jewelry, gramophone and everything expensive had to be sold. The house was left with only 500 square feet, because the house was in the name of Farah’s mother, so the father could not sell it. The situation was so worse that when Farah’s father died, she did not even have 30 rupees in her pocket to do his last rites.
