Recently Vicky Kaushal married Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif and now a big news has come out about his film Sam Bahadur. Now Dangal girls Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will also be seen working in this film. Production house RSVP on the occasion of director Meghna Gulzar’s birthday has given information about the two actresses working in this film and their characters. The story of General Sam Manekshaw, one of the greatest military officers of the country, will be shown in Sam Bahadur. Vicky is playing the character of Sam Manekshaw in the film. Sanya Malhotra will be seen playing the character of Sillu Manekshaw, the wife of General Manekshaw. Apart from this, Fatima is going to play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Recently, Lara Dutta was seen in the role of Indira Gandhi in Akshay Kumar’s film Bellbottom.

Fathima said about her character – “I cannot express my happiness over the challenge of joining the Sambahadur family and taking on the role of one of the most influential and celebrated women in Indian history. What excited me the most was the passion with which the makers are hoping to honor his legacy with this film.” On the other hand, Sanya Malhotra said about this, “The strength of Sam Bahadur used to be Sillu Manekshaw. I feel honored to play this role and bring to the fore his integral part and influence in the life of this war hero.”

Let us tell you, during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, General Manekshaw was the Chief of Army Staff and the first Indian military officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. General Manekshaw’s military career spanned four decades and five wars. Sanya was seen in the Netflix film Meenakshi Sundareshwar this year, while Fatima appeared in a story from Netflix’s anthology film Ajib Dastan. By the way, Fatima has done Thugs of Hindostan with Vicky Kaushal’s wife Katrina Kaif.
