According to The Sun, Victoria Beckham opened up about her personal trouble following her husband, David’s, alleged cheating. The legendary English player also revealed that their relationship was tested when he was accused of having a brief amorous experience while playing in Spain in 2003.

“The Beckhams have consistently refuted reports that David had an affair while playing for Real Madrid in 2003. They have just revealed that they are striving to save their relationship. Victoria stated, “It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life.”

Victoria was living in England with their two elder sons, Brooklyn and Romeo, at the time, while David was playing for Real Madrid in Spain. The distance, as expected, had an effect on their relationship. Victoria made the decision to relocate to Spain in order to support David in the aftermath of the rumours. She stated:

“It was the most difficult time because it felt like the entire world was against us.” Here’s the thing: if I’m being fully honest, we were at odds with each other. You know, up until Madrid, it felt like we were up against everyone else, but we were together, connected, and had each other.”

Victoria Beckham described their trip to Spain as “a nightmare.” She also expressed how she thought she didn’t have each other’s support throughout that moment in her life. She stated:

“But it’s really didn’t feel like that we had one another back when we were in Spain.” That is unfortunate. I can’t even begin to describe how difficult it was and how it affected me. It had been a nightmare. It was a whole circus — and who doesn’t love it when the circus comes to town? Unless you’re involved.”

The documentary does not name the women involved, although Rebecca Loos and Sarah Marbeck both claimed to have had affairs with David Beckham at the time. Despite the chaos, they conquered it. Cruz, their third child, was born in February 2005, around a year after Victoria moved to Spain.
