In the last few years, actresses have created a lot of excitement in the Bollywood industry. In many films including ‘Queen’, ‘Chhapaak’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, the actress got the film a hit, but despite this, actresses in the industry have to face many difficulties. Actresses are paid less than male actors.
Many actresses of the Bollywood industry have talked about this issue earlier. Recently, Kareena Kapoor was also in the news for playing Sita in ‘Ramayana’. Apart from this, many actresses including Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar have also raised the issue of getting less salary than the actors. Kriti Sanon has seen a lot of change in the last few years. Talking about sexism and salary disparity in the industry, the actress told Bollywood Bubble, “I think what is most important is the difference in the salary they both get. The difference is huge and that’s it. There is a problem. But, at the same time, I also believe that your talent should be according to how many spectators you can drag to the theater hall on your own.”

She added, “My point is that men don’t have to do male-centric films, but sometimes women have to do female-centric films.
You have to prove yourself by doing such films. It doesn’t matter how many films you have done, it doesn’t matter what your role is in the film, how many audiences you have as an actor, your salary should be decided by this. Many times my male friends and fans feel that if Tiger Shroff can bring the audience to the theatre, then his salary should be high, but the problem is that our society is very patriarchal.”
