Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna has been creating buzz to date. The film was theatrically released in December 2023. Even though Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial received mixed responses, the film continues to shatter box office records.

Several celebrities already praised the film and now joins Fighter actor Akshay Oberoi. In a recent interview, he spoke fondly of Animal and also lauded Bobby Deol.

Akshay Oberoi Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s Starrer Animal 

Amidst rave reviews of Fighter, Akshay Oberoi who played the pivotal role in the film, expressed his likeness to Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.

During a recent chat with India Today, he said, “I loved Animal. I think people have their opinions about it. But for me, a character is a character. I loved the film.”

Expressing his admiration towards Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor, he also praised the music. “Some of those action set pieces were larger-than-life. People have loved Scarface, I don’t understand. I mean this is like on that level for me. I am sure I can understand people’s issues with it,” he added.

Talking about his movie Fighter and the ongoing jingoism in it, Oberoi added that it is up to the person to decide what they feel about it. “Also, look at the box-office numbers, it’s earth-shattering. So, I just love that movie,” he opined.

Akshay Oberoi Talks About Bobby Deol 

During the same interview, Akshay also spoke about his bond with Lord Bobby and the advice he gave to him shooting for Love Hostel. He added that they worked on Love Hostel which Akshay had a small role in and they had an immediate bond. They bumped into each other many times and it brought him such happiness to look at where he is today. “His role in Animal is outstanding,” he stated.

Recalling Bobby Deol’s advice to him, Akshay added that he told him to put his head down and keep working. “Look at him today. He is right now the only person people are talking about and rightly so. He has changed the dynamics for everyone,” Akshay concluded.
