Self-described film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan, often known as KRK, is well known for picking Twitter confrontations with Bollywood stars. His tweets frequently spark debates. He was recently detained by Mumbai police after landing at the Mumbai airport due to his contentious tweet from 2020. Up until recently, Kamaal was detained in relation to two crimes from the years 2020 and 2021, a molestation case and his previous tweets. He was later granted bail, though, and is back to igniting Twitter conflicts.

Early this morning, KRK tweeted his desire to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, tagging both the RRS’s leader, Mohan Bhagwat, and the former chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. In his message, he stated, “Honorable @DrMohanBhagwat Ji, I am ready to join @RSSorg if #RSS needs me.

Following his comments, internet users immediately brought to his attention a previous tweet in which he disparaged groups like the RSS, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and BajrangDal. The actor for Deshdrohi stated in a 2016 tweet that “One day these communal organisations like VHP, RSS, and BajrangDal etc. would completely ruin India and the entire world will boycott India.” Netizens continued after that. Some users started making fun of KRK for changing their minds. Here are some responses from online users to his most recent tweet:

Deshdrohi 2 is the follow-up to KRK’s 2008 film. Earlier this year, KRK declared that it will be a phenomenon “greater than Bahubali” in a statement regarding the movie. KRK appears in full splendour on the Deshdrohi 2 poster while donning a black outfit. Additionally, the movie’s “directed by KRK produced by KRK” and “starring KRK” credits can be seen on the poster.

14 years ago, the first Deshdrohi film was released (and flopped). It appears that KRK has recently shown more interest in politics than in the world of movies. KRK was recently detained in Mumbai as a result of his previous tweets. Regarding the late stars Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, he had posted an offensive tweet. After his arrest, he was held in remand for 14 days. A case of sexual abuse against him was apparently previously filed at the Versova Police Station in 2021. The judge detained him for nine days before releasing him on conditional bond in both instances.
