‘Films Chal Nahi Rahi…’: Sidharth Malhotra Trolled For Giving Cold Reaction To ‘Naatu’, ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ Oscar Win!
Bollywood actor Siddharth Malhotra is currently enjoying a beautiful phase of his life. After getting married to his long time girlfriend Kiara Advani, he is busy in wrapping up his films. Recently, Malhotra completed the shooting of his upcoming action thriller ‘Yoddha’. He was spotted at the Delhi airport in a black hoodie and matching track pants. Sidharth seemed to be in a hurry.
While he was entering the gate, paparazzi asked him to comment on the ‘Naatu’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ win at the Oscars 2023. To this, the actor said something which did not go down well with a certain section of viewers.
In a viral video posted by a pap account on Instagram, Siddharth Malhotra is seen rushing to the airport when paparazzi asks him to give his views on India’s victory at 95th Academy awards. Siddharth replied, “The press conference is a bit chal rahi hai!” and left.
Netizens react to Sidharth Malhotra’s words
Soon after, netizens got divided on Sidharth’s unexpected reaction. Some began trolling the actor and tagged him as ‘rude’. A user wrote, “He could have said ‘great job’. Only two words were enough. Itna sab bolne ke liye time hai? Thoda tarif hi kardeta Bro. Another stated, “Films chal nhi rehi h iski or attitude de raha.”
Sidharth’s fans too jumped in to his rescue. They criticized the Insta handle for misleading the audience by posting only a specific part of the video. In his defence, one fan penned, “Firstly, he was spotted at Delhi airport where there were no paps and he was in a hurry. Still he said it in a light hearted manner with humor but you guys think he is angry? You post anything for reach. Another called it ‘humor’ and not ‘anger’. A third one said, “He always behaves warmly with the media but the media should also have some decency and give some space if someone is in a hurry.”
Let us tell you that Siddharth had already congratulated both ‘Naatu’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ on his Instagram stories. He wrote, “Truly a historic day to wake up to. Congratulations to both teams for winning the Academy Award for ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for Best Documentary Short Film and ‘Naatu’ for Best Original Song.”
