First Ever Cultural Evening Organized By BJP At Delhi Assembly To Mark Hindu New Year

The Delhi Assembly organized a cultural evening program on the occasion of Hindu New Year, in which Kailash Kher performed with his band ‘Kailasa’ at the Delhi Assembly.

A cultural evening on March 30 at the Delhi Assembly premises, Old Secretariat was organized to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Hindu New Year, which begins with Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.

The ceremony marks the beginning of ‘Vikram Samvat 2082’, a traditional Hindu lunar calendar era.

The purpose of this program is to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and reinforce the timeless values inherent in its traditions.

The program started with welcoming note and presenting bouquet to the distinguished guests followed with many cultural performances by artist and later on featured the performances by renowned singer and songwriter Kailash Kher and Kailasa band, with 1,500 eminent guests invited to participate in the celebration.

Honorable Speaker Delhi legislative assembly, Vijender Gupta while talking to women’s era, said, “I got the idea to organize such event for the first time because Indian youth are forgetting the values of our rich culture and heritage. This is the first opportunity to organize a cultural program for the New Year, not only in the Delhi Assembly but also in any other state assembly across the country. “

Talking about the opportunity to women after this he said, “There is nothing to say about that as women are participating in excellent way and our CM is a women candidate so there is no doubt about their development and growth. 

Mr. Vijender Gupta emphasized, “Hindu New Year is not just a change of date, but a symbol of new energy and vitality. Like farmers welcoming new crops to their homes, this festival holds deep economic and social significance, honoring the agricultural community, which has always been the backbone of our nation.”

Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta was the chief guest on this occasion, accompanied by Deputy Speaker Mr. Mohan Singh Bisht , Minister of Art & Culture Mr. Kapil Mishra and Parvesh Verma as special guests.

While talking to Women’s Era, Mishra said, “I am very happy to be a part of the event which is a fundamental step towards preserving and promoting Indian culture and traditions. Being a part of such a progressive government we will definitely keep on organizing such cultural awakening programmes in the future as well.”
