Swara Bhasker shared a tweet related to Bakrid on the X platform (Twitter), which received a massive response. She retweeted a food blogger’s tweet and posted something against vegetarians that quickly went viral.

The actress shared a tweet by a food blogger named Nalini Unagar, questioning vegetarianism. Nalini often shares pictures of her meals. She posted a picture of a plate with the caption, “I am proud to be a vegetarian. My plate is free from tears, cruelty, and sin.”

Swara reshared this post and wrote: “Honestly… I don’t get one thing about vegetarians. Your entire diet is based on depriving calves of their mother’s milk by forcibly impregnating cows, then separating them from their children and stealing their milk. Besides, you eat root vegetables, which kill the whole plant. It would be better if you relax because today is Bakrid.”

Many people criticized Swara for this post. One user commented, “I agree that separating a calf from its mother’s milk is wrong, but are you justifying the slaughter of millions of animals this way? You have a problem with loud firecrackers on Diwali and colours on animals during Holi because it can cause them discomfort, but you don’t object to celebrating a festival by killing animals and even eating them?”

The same user continued, “You are a mother; stop justifying such things for your agenda. Learn to call a spade a spade. Children need good parenting.”

Another commenter wrote, “It seems your sense has gone on vacation. Those who keep animals also take care of them. If someone gets milk from an animal, they ensure the mother and her baby are well cared for. We once saw you arguing on a TV channel without any logic or evidence, so we know about your small mind. Read your book and don’t poke your nose into matters that require brains.”
