The recent controversy that has surrounded the King Khan of Bollywood is his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in alleged possession and consumption of illegal drugs. On October 2, Aryan was called for interrogation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after NCB’s raid at a rave party on board the Empress Cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Later in the day, a Mumbai court sent Aryan and two others into NCB custody till October 4.
According to sources of NCB, Aryan Khan was carrying drugs in his lens boxes. He has been arrested under four sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) which attracts a maximum punishment of one year and a fine which may extend to Rs 20,000. Apparently, Aryan Khan was apologetic when the NCB officials asked him to accompany them to the NCB office.
The agency has also recovered drugs hidden in between sanitary pads and medicine boxes of other accused.
How Aryan’s Name came into all this?
The WhatsApp chats of Aryan Khan revealed that he and his friend used to discuss illegal drugs. At the time of the raid, the NCB recovered several illegal drugs, including charas, MDMA, and cocaine.
In their arrest, the NCB officials arrested eight persons in total from the rave party. Other than Aryan, two others were also produced in the court and sent to the NCB custody till October 4. The NCB will take the remaining five to court after their medical examinations.
According to reports, the NCB will take the other five accused also on remand since it could lead the agency to drug peddlers. The NCB, which had raided the cruise ship on Saturday night went on to conduct raids at many other places in Mumbai on Sunday in connection with the case.
Let’s see how this case unfolds in the future. Till then, stay tuned.
