The drama in the Bigg Boss 19 house continues to unfold, and now former winner Gauahar Khan has weighed in on the controversy. Gauahar has criticized house captain Amaal Mallik for his disrespectful tone toward fellow contestant Kunickaa Sadanand, sparking a new debate on social media.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gauahar wrote, “Yes she is picky, pointy and irritating with her instructions, but I feel really bad with how most ppl speak to kunicka ji. She’s 61 yaar, thoda toh khyaal rakho tone ka. #bb19. Amaal can’t handle authority. Position of authority comes with responsibility.”
Gauahar’s comments were met with mixed reactions. While many agreed that Kunickaa, at 61 years of age, deserves more respect, others argued that age shouldn’t be an excuse for poor behavior. One user commented, “If she wanted age-based preferential treatment, she shouldn’t have come on a show like Bigg Boss.” Another defended Amaal, saying, “He is clearly overwhelmed… Kunickaa ji is trying to be the boss and wants things done right away in the way she wants.”
The conflict began when Amaal, after changing the house duties, got into an argument with Kunickaa. Despite being removed from kitchen duties, Kunickaa was seen telling Amaal to order other contestants to help with the cleaning. Amaal, feeling that Kunickaa was creating drama, snapped at her, stating he was not her “servant.” Although he later apologised for his behavior, the tension between them remains high.
During the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, host Farah Khan also called out Nehal Chudasama, Baseer Ali, and Kunickaa Sadanand for their behavior, leading to a shift in house dynamics.
