Gautam Gulati Feels Karan Johar Was Not Suitable To Host Bigg Boss OTT; Checkout Story!

Gautam Gulati recently said a statement on Karan Johar’s hosting capacity for Bigg Boss OTT.
Gautam Gulati revealed that he had asked the Colors team to let him host Bigg Boss OTT instead of Karan Johar because Karan is not the right choice for the show and doesn’t know about it. He can explain it better and contestants would be able to relate to him as he was a contestant and the winner of Bigg Boss season 8.

Bigg Boss was released on the OTT platform for the first time in 2021 and Karan Johar made his debut as a host in the OTT space with the show. The season was successful and notable because of the friendship and enmity of Pratik Sehajpal and Neha Bhasin, the romance of Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty and the whole drama around Divya Aggarwal and her fights.

Gautam said, “I told the Colors team that I really want to host Bigg Boss OTT because it’s in my veins and I can feel the house. Karan Johar was hosting that show, and he has nothing to do with it. He doesn’t know anything about it. Technically, I should be there to host the show.”

Reactions given by netizens

Netizens had mixed reactions to his statement. Some fans supported him as Karan had an argument with Divya Agarwal at the start of the Bigg Boss OTT and she had even cried in that episode. He asked her to leave the show if she doesn’t need it, after which, Divya burst into tears because Divya was heard telling Pratik Sehajpal that unlike him she doesn’t need the show. Netizens remembered and criticized how Karan Johar handled the whole Gautam Vig and Soundarya Sharma relationship matter in Bigg Boss 16.

On the other hand, some fans disagreed with Gautam about his hosting capacity and said that being a good contestant did not mean that one would be a good host. Some also talked and criticized about his hosting wasn’t great on the Mujhse Shaadi Karoge show on the Colors channel of Paras Chhabra and Shehnaaz Kaur Gill.

On the professional front, Gautam Gulati is currently working on MTV Roadies Season 19 as an MTV Roadies judge, aka ‘Gang Leader’.
