Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently got candid about her husband’s past, playfully revealing that he used to flirt with most of his co-stars. Her comments came during her guest appearance on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check. During the episode, Sunita recalled her time with actress Sonali Bendre, who has worked with Govinda in films like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai.
”I revealed that while Govinda may have flirted with many, bas Sonali hi bach gayi (she was the only one left)!” Sunita said. She praised Sonali, stating she was “the only actress he never tried his charm on.” Sunita also shared that Govinda gave Sonali her first big break in the 1994 film Aag and would often tell his wife that she reminded him of a younger Sonali.
Sunita described her experience on the show as a “beautiful walk down memory lane,” filled with nostalgia and laughter. She loved dancing to Govinda’s songs again and sharing the stage with Sonali.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987, keeping their relationship a secret until after the birth of their daughter, Tina Ahuja, a year later. They also have a son, Yashvardhan, born in 1997. While Tina has already made her Bollywood debut, Yashvardhan is set to begin his acting career soon.
