When the podcaster replied ‘no’, Anupam explained to him that a podcaster should always be aware of the new work of the man he is interviewing. He further suggested that this should be used in the final cut and should not be edited out.

Otherwise, what is the point of it?’ Explaining the reason behind his comment, Anupam Kher shared an incident that happened on a podcast a few days ago. He did not directly name Raj Shamani, but it was clear from the actor’s words who he was talking about.

Anupam said that the podcaster had asked him for advice. Anupam advised the podcaster that one should not let their success change them; rather, they should always remain humble, and even more humble with their success. The actor further said, he asked me, ‘If you have to give me advice, what would you advise?’ I did not say this from my side. Then I gave him long advice. I told him, ‘Son, don’t let success change you. Success means being more humble. Although you seem humble, your office environment seems different. You have come from a small town, and this simplicity should remain.’ Calling the man ‘fake’, Anupam said, ‘It means he is fake. Because you asked me for advice, and then you cut off what I said. Whenever I hear him talking about Asliyat, I always question him.’
