Mohini further said that she shares a mutual respect and love for AR Rahman and so does the composer for her. Mohini also asked people to be kind towards her and respect her privacy, as her divorce was both personal and painful. Along with the video shared on the internet by her, she wrote a long note for her fans, “There is so much false and baseless information being spread against me and AR Rahman. It’s wrong. I respect my time with AR Rahman as a kid while working with him in films and tours. It’s disappointing to see that people have no respect, empathy, or sympathy for such emotional matters. It pains me to see what people think. AR Rahman is a legend, and he is like a father to me.”

Mohini further wrote, “I have had many role models and father figures in my life who have played a vital role in my career and upbringing. My dad, who taught me everything about music, who introduced me to this industry, who shaped me, and AR Rahman, who gave me the freedom to shine through my shows and music while recording. I will always do it like this. I don’t owe anyone any explanations, but at the same time, I don’t want it to spoil my day. So please stop making false claims and respect our privacy.”
