Saif Ali Khan recently underwent several surgeries after being stabbed during an attempted burglary at his Mumbai residence on Thursday. In an interview with Money Control, Zahan Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor’s cousin, provided an update on the actor’s condition. Zahan reassured fans that Saif is now safe, stating, “I can’t comment on the incident as the full details are not known yet. However, I can confirm that he is safe, recovering well, and out of danger. It’s undoubtedly a shocking event.” Zahan is the grandson of the late Shashi Kapoor, while Kareena is the granddaughter of Shashi’s older brother, Raj Kapoor.

Rahul Bhat, Zahan’s co-star in the Netflix show “Black Warrant”, also expressed his concern. He said, “It gives me chills just thinking about it. I can only imagine the trauma he must have experienced. This incident is horrifying and unimaginable. I pray for his strength and a swift recovery.”

The incident occurred at Saif’s Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday when an intruder broke in and, following a struggle, stabbed Saif multiple times. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at around 3:30 a.m., where Dr. Niraj Uttamani confirmed that a piece of the broken knife was lodged near Saif’s spine but was successfully removed. Saif is now on the road to recovery.

Zahan Kapoor, who is currently receiving praise for his performance in “Black Warrant”, portrays Sunil Gupta in the Netflix show. Based on the book “Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer” by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury, the series follows Gupta’s experiences as a rookie jailer at Tihar Prisons. Alongside Zahan, the show stars Rahul Bhat, Paramvir Singh Cheema, Anurag Thakur, and Sidhant Gupta. “Black Warrant” is now streaming on Netflix.
